The 12th king of the Haihay dynasty was Soundhikeya . People of the soundhik caste are believed to be his offspring. The dynasty was located on the Vindhya region which includes western part of Odisha. Now Haihay Kshatriya (Saundhik)s are dispersed all over the country with high concentration in Odisha and neighbouring States. A Haihaya Samaj at the national level has been functioning since 1904.

ନିଖିଳ ଉତ୍କଳ ଷୌଣ୍ଢିକ ସମାଜର ଇତିହାସ

ହୈହୟ ରାଜବଂଶର ଦ୍ୱାଦଶ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ନାମ ଷୌଣ୍ଢିକେୟ ଥିଲା। ଷୌଣ୍ଢିକ ମାନେ ତାଙ୍କର ବଂଶଧର ବୋଲି ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରାଯାଏ। ଏହି ରାଜ୍ୟ ବିନ୍ଧ୍ୟଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଅବସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲା। ଓଡିଶାର ପଶ୍ଚିମାଞ୍ଚଳ ଏହି ରାଜ୍ୟର ଅଂଶ ବିଶେଷ ଥିଲା। ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ସମୟରେ ହୈହୟ କ୍ଷତ୍ରିୟ (ଷୌଣ୍ଢିକ) ମାନେ ଭାରତବର୍ଷର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ବସତି ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଓଡିଶା ଓ ପଶ୍ଚିମରେ ଥିବା ପଡୋଶୀ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଅଧିକ ସଂଖ୍ୟାରେ ବାସ କରନ୍ତି। ଜାତୀୟସ୍ତରରେ ହୈହୟ ସମାଜ 1904 ମସିହାରୁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରତ ଅଛି।
